Warwick Castle, Stratford, and Oxford

Hello! As promised here are some pictures from our day trip while we stayed in London.  I somehow came down with a bad cough and cold the night before but the sunshine and the company made it worth the struggle, and it turned into one of my favorite days on the trip! We went to Warwick Castle first which is known as the best preserved Medieval Castle in England, next we went to Shakespeare's home town, Stratford Upon Avon, and last we visited Oxford University!  (Be on the lookout for a Downtown London post!)

It's All In The Details: Food and Other Fun Things at Portobello Road

Our first day in London, we had the opportunity to check out the world famous Portobello Road! It's this awesome market filled with weird vintage clothing shops and artisanal food stands.  It was such an experience! (Heads up, sorry a lot of these pictures are of food... I was clearly hungry and they were too gorgeous to resist).

Stephen with his sweet Grandma Betty!

Loved this display at True Religion
Antique Tennis Rackets! I wish I could have picked one up!
How "Americana" is this display?

This bread!

These are the most beautiful Garlic Cloves I have ever seen!

Fresh Figs! I couldn't help buying a couple! They are my weakness!

And this gorgeous meringue.  They were literally the size of my head! Luckily I snapped a picture before anyone noticed :)

Brugges, Belgium

While in Paris we had the opportunity to take a day trip into Brugges, Belgium.  After a morning full of transport issues... we finally made it! And it was totally worth the wait! Brugges is so quaint and lovely but it was so difficult to see everything in just a few hours.  If you ever get a chance to go, make sure to try the Belgian Waffles (which are NOT overrated in my book and are completely delicious) and make sure to bundle up! I swear once you walk into the middle of town it is at least 10 degrees cooler than when you walk out of the train station.  Also, be on the look-out for some London posts coming your way!

How picturesque is this town?  I felt like I was in Germany.

I loved this ice cream truck and the group of school boys lined up outside
Chocolatiers were everywhere in Brugges, but this one was so modern and chic I had to snap a pic!
