Brugges, Belgium

While in Paris we had the opportunity to take a day trip into Brugges, Belgium.  After a morning full of transport issues... we finally made it! And it was totally worth the wait! Brugges is so quaint and lovely but it was so difficult to see everything in just a few hours.  If you ever get a chance to go, make sure to try the Belgian Waffles (which are NOT overrated in my book and are completely delicious) and make sure to bundle up! I swear once you walk into the middle of town it is at least 10 degrees cooler than when you walk out of the train station.  Also, be on the look-out for some London posts coming your way!

How picturesque is this town?  I felt like I was in Germany.

I loved this ice cream truck and the group of school boys lined up outside
Chocolatiers were everywhere in Brugges, but this one was so modern and chic I had to snap a pic!

Paris, France Part 3 (Family, Ladurée, and Notre Dame)

OK! So here are some of the final pictures from Paris (I'm sure I will sneak a few extra in during the next few weeks).  Even though this was my second trip, I had never been to Ladurée, so obviously I had to come back and see if their Macaroons are as good as everyone says. And guess what?  They're way better! Seriously!

Ladurée! World Famous Macaroons! They are quite expensive, but totally worth it! We literally went through 8 euros worth of cookies in 3 minutes!

We were all gifted these cute scarves by Cheri and they were the perfect "match nothing but go with everything" accessory :)

One last look at Notre Dame...
How awesome is this swing?  My inner child just couldn't say no!

Paris, France Part 1

These past few weeks have been such a blur! Stephen and I are officially graduated and moved out from our apartment in Provo....  And to celebrate, we had the opportunity to go to Europe with our family for two weeks!  It was so much fun and I was able to take some pictures to document our fun adventures! (So be on the look out for a bunch of new posts!)

The End of an Era....(and other exciting things)

I have big news....HUGE news...AMAZING news....Today was my last day of class....EVER!!! (at least at BYU).  That is right, I am now officially about to graduate!! And as exciting, crazy, stressful, and wonderful these past four years have been...I am still so excited to move on with my life (as a newly married woman) and explore the great wide world!  Before doing so, however, I wanted to post a bunch of pictures from the past couple of months to catch everyone up on what has been going on! ENJOY!
Ashley's "last meal" before going into the MTC was In & Out. We got to go with Stephen & Daniel (his identical twin) and it was delicious!! So delicious, in fact, that Ashley downed TWO hamburgers (one normal and the other animal style...I am so proud :)

Literally right before Ashley headed off to the MTC we decided to drop by the Provo, Temple for some last minutes photos!  Look how pretty my sis is!

Practically twins!

Raspberry and Spinach Salad

Hello! So sorry to have taken such a long break from the blog but sadly this semester wasn't as "easy-breezy" as one might have hoped.  But thankfully Monday and Tuesday are my last days of class EVER (until grad school) and so I thought this was a perfect time for us to start getting caught up :)  So much has happened over these past couple of months and I am so excited to tell you all about it! To kick us off, here is a fabulous salad recipe that is both quick and delicious!!

Raspberry and Spinach Salad
Ingredients:
1 bag of spinach (feeds about 3-4)
1 container of raspberries
1/2 cup of slivered almonds or Pine Nuts
1 small red onion
Raspberry Vinaigrette (or dressing of choice)

Directions:
Place the bag of spinach in a bowl.  Thinly dice the red onion.  Mix together with dressing.  Then in a small pan lightly toast the almonds/pine nuts (this should only take a few minutes or else they will burn).  For the finishing touch add a handful of raspberries on top and enjoy!! See? Super easy, healthy, AND delicious (a triple threat!!)
